Most loader valves have their own relief valve. I would be cautious about just replacing the pump until you fully understand and have tested your system in the best way to evaluate the pump.

While it will take an hour or so to disassemble and check, the protection the proper relief valve provides is very important and the last thing you want to do is damage your hydraulic pump and need to replace it.
